Clubs federated with the California Federation of Women’s Clubs are designated by the initials: C. F. W. C.

Clubs federated with the California Federation of Women’s Clubs are also classified according to their affiliation with the district to which they belong. The Six Districts of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs are respectively:

Northern District; San Francisco District; Alameda District; San Joaquin Valley District; Los Angeles District; Southern District. The total membership enrollment is approximately, 60,000 women.

Roman numerals are used to designate the districts; Northern District, I; San Francisco, II; Alameda District III; San Joaquin Valley District IV; Los Angeles District, V; Southern District, VI.

The NORTHERN DISTRICT (I) includes 19 counties, namely; Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta County, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, Yuba.

THE CALIFORNIA CONGRESS OF MOTHERS AND PARENT-

TEACHER ASSOCIATIONS Key No. 58

No other organization of women, perhaps, yields a more influential power for good in the community than the Congress of Mothers and Parent-Teacher Association. California, particularly is fortunate in its splendid representation. It ranks first in members in the National organization, with an enrollment of over 43,000 members.

The California Congress of Mothers and Parent-Teacher Associations has a representation in practically every school district of the State. Each “Mothers’ Club” bears the name of the public school to which it is allied. As these divisions are so numerous and fundamentally the same in precept and purpose, they are classified under the one head: California Congress of Mothers and Parent-Teacher Associations. The number 58 designates affiliation with the “State Congress”.
